additional e-mail info and recommendations:

a.  1 gig limit per POP3. ensure browser not set to "leave on server."

b.  do maintain a free e-mail account (yahoo - hotmail etc.) for regular internet use. use the free account for all, save family, alumni or those you give your credit card number to.

c.  avoid using bcc (blind carbon copy) with your alumni POP3. large bcc e-mails' are spammer targets. individual classes are encouraged to use commercial software that will address individual POP3's for your newsletters.

d.  "all-class" mailings will use same "single address" communications using the servers secure listserv feature. (HTML or .txt)

e.  all brinkleyhigh.org staff and site contact addresses will reside in the pass-worded /secure/ directory. ninety-four percent of spam is effectively stopped by not allowing spambots and spiders access to this information.

f.  accessing pages in the /secure/ directory is transparent as links will have username and password embedded in the URL. only windows XP SP2 appears to have problems with embedded username/password URLs. click here (use your browsers back button to return here) to see you you can access a contact page with this feature.  if you are unable to access this page please contact us giving us your OS and browser name and version.

g.  current server configuration limits alumni POP3's to fifty.

h.  alumni POP3's fee is $20.00 per year single POP3.

i.  $30.00 per year for two single POP3 for alumni who married alumni.

j.  married alumni, that share tooth brushes, can get single POP3 with alias for no additional fee. i.e.. johnross@brinkleyhigh.org and maryross@brinkleyhigh.org.

k.  ten year POP3 option is $120 (single) / $180 (married alumni) respectfully. Click Here to reserve your POP3.(s)
